The photo was uploaded by Karolina to TikTok on August 23rd, 2025, as part of a slideshow meme that compares his hand to the character Beast from Beauty and the Beast holding Belle's hand. On August 23rd, 2025, TikToker^[1] @karolinaa_priiv posted a slideshow video beginning with an image of Belle holding Beast's hand from Beauty and the Beast, followed by a photo of herself holding her boyfriend's finger. Her hand appears very small in the photograph, while his hand appears large, with her whole hand hardly wrapping around it. The post gained over 45 million views in four days.

On August 24th, she posted a follow-up video on TikTok^[2] showing her holding her boyfriend's hand in a variety of ways to further compare their sizes, garnering over 2.1 million views in three days.

On August 25th, 2025, X^[3] user @angelpieraffie reposted the image of Karolina holding her boyfriend's hand, writing, "WHAT," garnering over 22,000 likes, 3,000 reposts and 8.1 million views in two days.

That same day, Instagram^[4] user 3xli.o_ reposted the meme, garnering over 8,000 likes in two days.

On August 26th, X^[5] user @kiyodia quoted the post, writing, "your average one piece couple," referencing the anime franchise One Piece, garnering over 117,000 likes and 5,600 reposts in a day.

Later that day, X^[6] user @orthosexia posted, "Controversial yet brave: size differences like this gross me the fuck out," garnering over 3,200 likes in a day.
